National Catalytic Men’s Conferences: An estimated 50,000 men attended seven Promise Keepers national conferences in 2007. In Mobile, Ala., Nashville, Orlando, Fla., and Columbia, S.C., men donated 190 units of blood in Friday afternoon blood drives. Conference attendees donated an estimated 41,280 pounds of non-perishable food items. Eight local charities received the cases of food for distribution through church and community networks. Also, more than 750 men signed up to work with Promise Keepers as year-round volunteer “Ambassadors.” Most importantly, Promise Keepers is clearly a world class organization in the effectiveness of its message, to ignite and unite men to be passionate followers of Jesus Christ. In 2007 we experienced a 10% rate of response to the altar calls at national conferences. PK Selects – local community events: On November 10, 2007, nearly 2000 men attended the initial launch of PKAdventure, our digital cinema events at a dozen movie theaters around the continental United States. The 90-minute theater event will extend the evangelistic reach of the ministry to cities not logistically equipped to host a national PK event. In addition, the event is designed to maximize the impact of consistent discipleship and ongoing community service projects by being held in the same location multiple times per year. Over 50% of attendees at the November 2007 event participated in the service projected and indicated that they would participate again. PK Adventure will also uniquely equip Promise Keepers to reach the Y Generation with our life-changing message. Attendees at all PKAdventure theater locations participated in a wide range of local community service projects, capping the premiere of the PKAdventure launch. Technology: The VerseMinder, a web-based program delivering a faith-challenging message and related scripture memorization tool, was launched in June, drawing more than 7,000 subscribers in its first six months. A new series of classic PK videos, drawn from 16 years of PK archival content by leading speakers and authorities on men’s topics, are now downloadable from the website, under the banner “PKOnDemand.” There’s even a Promise Keepers channel on the popular video website YouTube. Released in sync with the feature film in February ‘07, a classic musical presentation of the story behind the hymn “Amazing Grace” by Wintley Phipps gained more than 80,000 views. The San Antonio and Orlando men’s conferences were streamed to subscribers as a live “webcast,” reaching viewers in 22 states and Latin America. The archived versions of these webcasts were also later viewed by churches coast-to-coast. Content Development: Key resources and content developed in 2007 include PK Verseminder, PKClassics, PKAdventure , PKBibleStudies, the new pastors’ seminar, and new church and donor e-newsletters. The PK Family Night Guy was also launched, a radio feature that equips men to be the spiritual leaders in the home. This feature currently reaches 23 million listeners every week. In addition, Promise Keepers successfully executed clear measurables that successfully repositioned the ministry from a conference based to content based model. The ministry:
